Returns / RMA setup

Goal

Configure RMA policy options and catalogs.

Who it is for

return.admin (settings save and catalog CRUD). Viewers with return.view can open setup read-only where the UI allows.

Preconditions

• Module returns enabled.

Steps — options

1. Open Administration → Settings → Purchasing & stock → Returns setup.
2. Set RMA window (days) — enforced when an original document date is sent on create.
3. Set restocking fee %, default resolution (refund / credit / exchange), require QC on return, auto restock on receive.
4. Save. Fee / QC / auto-restock are stored policy options for process guidance; the runtime create path enforces the RMA window today.

Steps — catalogs

Maintain return reasons (e.g. defective, wrong item) and dispositions (restock, scrap, repair, quarantine) on the setup screen.

Result

New RMAs respect the window rule; catalogs are available for API/advanced capture.
